The Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking outstanding applicants to fill a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position in the Division of Medical Oncology. Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the nurse practitioner/physician assistant performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, and assists with clinical research projects. The nurse practitioner/physician assistant works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of oncology patients . Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and interest in serving a diverse patient population in private clinical practice. We offer a highly competitive salary package with excellent benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $152,880 â€“ $215,300.80
This position will be hired as a clinical instructor.
The NP or PA will be working with two oncologists (Melanoma and GI) at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Minimum Field of Expertise: For NP candidates, possession of current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner program. Current and valid California State RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Clinical nursing experience.
