The Department of Urology in the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is recruiting at the Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology in the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) specialty. The primary location of the position will be in Los Angeles, California. Qualified candidates will be involved in the care of urology and urogynecology patients, taking care of a variety of conditions including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, urinary fistula disease, and neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction. Minimum requirements for this position are that he/she must possess a Medical Doctor (or equivalent) degree, be American Board of Urology (ABU) eligible, have an active California Medical License, and have appropriate training in FPMRS (i.e. accredited fellowship). Applicants should also be active academically in the field of
surgical education research
. Those with formal training such as a degree (i.e. PhD, MSc) are preferred. The position will involve an appointment with the USC Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center for Urologic Research, working with an interdisciplinary team of scientists to evaluate the role of AI in surgical education.
