The Associate Event Producer’s role is to coordinate, conceptualize, design, and produce appropriate and effective events to promote the university and its goals in the public forum. The department produces events that maintain a centralized standard of excellence, quality and protocol for the Office of the President, the Senior Vice Presidents, Communications, the USC Alumni Association, USC Associates, deans and development officers, by creating favorable environments for donors and friends of USC and enhancing the prestige and goodwill of the university.
This individual will work with the Senior Event Producer and Executive Director to provide the client with a centralized standard of excellence and quality from conceptualization to completion of an event. This person will coordinate the overall design, flow and feel of the event and provide onsite production assistance the day of the event to ensure high quality, timeliness, client service and client satisfaction. This position will be a hybrid between remote work and onsite work in the office and at events.
Job Accountabilities
- Conceptualize, design, produce, and manage assigned events both on campus and off campus, in-person and virtual.
- Coordinate the overall design, flow, and feel of the event and provide support through the planning process to ensure the event meets presidential standards and expectations.
- Help to maintain detailed event files and updated information on event attendees, donors, and friends of the University as needed. Develops and maintains an extensive network of contacts, internal and external to facilitate event coordination.
- Research potential new vendors. Determine appropriate vendors for each aspect of an event. Negotiate contracts with vendors and monitor delivery of goods and services to ensure contract terms are satisfied.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

The hourly rate range for this position is $32.16 – $34.84.
